NEATT stands for Nonprofit Education Advancement Training & Tool. It was developed by ALL MAVEN INC., a faith based Creative Agency in Colorado Springs. The goal of NEATT was to help nonprofits do what they do best: serve others; ensuring a brighter future for everyone by providing high quality free and low cost services business and marketing services to the people who constantly make our communities better.
When we work with nonprofits, we are working with so many kind and caring people. Nonprofits are cause oriented missions, focused more on others than the individual. We always meet amazing adults, but how did those types of people come to be?
We wanted our kids to grow up and be the types of people that would serve and or donate their time to a nonprofit. We wanted to remind them of the importance of helping others. So we took that thought process a little bit further and thought, "what type of kids do we want to raise?" We wanted them to be more than just helpful and giving -- we wanted them to be all kinds of things. Some we knew nothing about and could truly describe, but knew they had value.
So we founded NEATT Kids and decided we would try to organize as many activities as possible that would help kids grow up to be well rounded, loving, giving, critical thinking problem solvers of the future. We currently operate out of Colorado Springs Colorado and Carlsbad California and their surrounding areas. We'd say the rest is history, but best parts are yet to come.
For the future, our road map also includes some focused programs such as NEATT Heroes (kids with disabilities) NEATT Kids for Christ (faith based programs for kids) and NEATT Biz Kids (entrepreneurial opportunities for kids). As NEATT grows, we're really looking to expand in more categories for young children.
Broaden Kids' Opportunities, Experiences and Wisdom for a Better Tomorrow
Strong, thoughtful, well rounded and loving individuals who are the best version of themselves.
The more we learn, the more we grow. If we can expand our experiences and our wisdom, we can change the world.
What is the cost of the program?
One of the best parts of NEATT Kids is it's affordability. It's only $35 for the first child, $15 for the second and $10 for each child after that for the year. If you renew the following year, we take 10% off. But we also recognize that it may be a struggle for some families. If your child receives free or reduced lunch, contact us about Fee Waivers and reductions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What age group is NEATT Kids for?
NEATT Kids is geared toward elementary age children, primarily grades 1-5. However, some activities and field trips are not age specific. If you see an activity you'd like your younger children to participate, contact us about attending and pricing.
What's included in the NEATT Kids Membership?
When you sign your child up for NEATT Kids, they get access to all our activities year round for free. We're able to do this through the generosity of our partners who want to provide your child with exceptional experiences. We do have a few larger events that do require some costs, and those will be stated when posted.
NEATT Kids also receive a "I'm a NEATT Kid" T Shirt, band and sticker. When your child outgrows their NEATT Shirt, you can purchase a new one for $12. If you turn in your old NEATT shirt in good condition, we'll donate it and take $2 off the cost of your new shirt.
Do parents need to come to the NEATT Kids Activities?
While not required, we strongly encourage parents to observe, participate and support our NEATT Kids Activities. Field trips do require Chaperones, so extra handles are always appreciated. Since most NEATT activities are only about an hour, it's usually beneficial to hang out; but your kids are safe with us! If parent attendance is required, it will be disclosed with the activity and will vary based on the activity type.
What types of activities can my child be participating in?
NEATT is all about diversity. We wanted to have a program that touched varying areas of a person's life. Your kids may participate in workshops and activities focused on:
How to Save Your Money
Museum Field Trips
Playtime at the Park
A Day at the Trampoline Park
Dealing with Bullies
Arts and Crafts
Let's Learn Language
Thinking Outside the Box
Hearing with our Hands: ASL
As you can see, there is a wide range or workshops, field trips and exploratory activities that will help broaden your kids overall life experiences. While this list has a range, it's still very short. Wherever a life lesson can exist, a NEATT activity can arise.
If you're interested in teaching kids something valuable, please write to us at email@example.com or submit your activity online.
How often do you have events?
NEATT Kids activities happen a minimum of once a month, while our program is in its early stages. Going forward, there will be several events throughout the month for kids to participate.
Where are NEATT Kids events held?
NEATT Kids exists currently in two states, California and Colorado. Our NEATT Kids Cali team hosts events in North San Diego County and our NEATT Kids Colorado team hosts activities primarily in Monument and Colorado Springs. We're looking to expand both of these programs into larger regions, and eventually into other states as well.
